What got you into journalism?
I loved reading magazines growing up, and I thought becoming a writer and editor for one sounded like the coolest job out there. I applied to just one university known for its journalism program, and the rest is history! Writing about serious topics like climate change can be challenging, but being a journalist is as fulfilling as I hoped it would be, even at a young age.
What’s your favorite topic to cover?
My favorite topic to cover is, by far, food. Everything about food, from growing it to preparing it to eating it, fascinates me.
What’s been your favorite interview, and why?
I interviewed Guy Fieri for Insider, and it was an awesome time. He really is as nice and funny as he seems!
Is there an eco-related book you would recommend to all EcoWatchers?
I recently read Fuzz by Mary Roach, and I would highly recommend it. It’s both informative and funny.
